Lovable Adds Free Chat, 10-Hour /goal Runs and Domains From Chat
Lovable's late-August and September 2026 updates: chatting about ideas and apps is now free up to a daily allowance on Free, Pro and Business plans; /goal lets Lovable work toward one request for up to 10 hours; domains can be found, bought and connected from chat; and drafts let you try changes without touching the published app.
Lovable shipped several features between late August and late September 2026 that change how building on it feels. (What Is Lovable?)
Chat is free (21 September)
Lovable launched Chats (outside projects) and Chat mode (inside a project) for discussing ideas and apps without changing code. Chatting is free up to a daily allowance on Free, Pro and Business plans; the allowance covers each message first.
When a chat sends work to a project — "OK, build that" — that work uses build credits as usual.
This is a good change for how people should work: think and plan first, build second. A clear plan before generating code avoids the expensive fix-it loops that burn credits. (Plan Your First App, Stuck in an AI Fix Loop?)
/goal: long autonomous runs (late August)
/goal lets Lovable keep working toward one request for up to 10 hours, at higher cost. Separately, Lovable can now work up to 10 hours on a single message. Long runs are powerful and expensive — give them a specific, checkable outcome, the same advice that applies to Claude Code's /goal. (Claude Code /goal)
Domains from chat (1 September)
You can now find, buy and connect a domain from chat. Convenient — but read the renewal price, not just the first-year price, and make sure the domain is registered in your name and account. (Best Domain Registrar, Connect a Custom Domain)
Drafts (9 September)
Drafts let you try changes separately; the published app only changes when you publish. Note that drafts share project data — a draft that writes to the database writes to the real one. (Dev, Staging and Production Explained)
Other useful additions
- Multiple shareable preview links, with optional passwords and expiry on Business and Enterprise (4 September).
- A warning when two Lovable projects use the same Supabase project, since they can overwrite each other's secrets (11 September).
- Cloud Advanced settings showing CPU, memory and disk pressure over 24 hours (7 September).
- Cloud database passwords can be rotated from chat (30 September).
- Database changes recorded as migration files, with protection against breaking changes (7 October). (Lovable Database Migrations)
And one setting to check: Free and Pro plan data may now be used for AI training unless you opt out. (Lovable Training Data Opt-Out)

Lovable Now Uses Free and Pro Plan Data for AI Training Unless You Opt Out
Since 9 September 2026, Lovable may use customer data from Free and Pro plans to train AI models unless users opt out in Account settings → Privacy. Business and Enterprise workspaces are excluded by default. What that covers, how to opt out, and what to think about if your app handles client or customer data.
Lovable Moves Into the Enterprise: Microsoft Entra Sign-In, Azure and Power BI Connectors
Through September 2026 Lovable added Microsoft sign-in for apps, Entra gallery listing, SSO management, Power BI and Azure connectors, and on 30 September announced that apps built by a team can run inside the company's Microsoft tenant with Entra sign-in and IT controls. Plus EU inference and IP-allowlisted API keys for Enterprise. What it means for internal tools.
